Allergic Contact Dermatitis
Contact dermatitis is a red, itchy rash that is caused by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it. The resulting rash tends to clear up in 2-4 weeks if the offending substance is avoided. To help identify and avoid substances that cause contact dermatitis the dermatologists at Dermatology Arts may recommend that you have a specific type of skin allergy testing done called patch testing.
