She moved to Seattle in 2009.

Valerie was originally drawn to the field of dermatology because of its combination of its visual nature and hands-on procedure-based treatments. Having family members with psoriasis and other significant skin conditions, she has enjoyed the ability to significantly impact the quality of life of her patients, knowing what patients go through with their disease processes. In her career as a Dermatology Physician Assistant, she has enjoyed both the medical and aesthetic components of dermatology. She has a long history of using Botox for her patients, and uses this in combination with laser treatments, and prescription products to help balance the aging process. She has spent her career treating patients of all ages, and especially enjoys teenage and collage-aged patients. She values the opportunity to spend time with her patients and provide patient education. She also enjoys creating individualized anti-aging roadmaps with her patients to slow the effects of aging that looks natural and feels healthy.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially all the activities involved with her two children, who are entering their tween and teen years. You can find her doing anything and everything on the water in her free time. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, photography and all things nature. She also loves pickleball and is re-entering the world of competitive tennis.
