Products of the Month: SkinCeuticals Cleansers

Looking for a new cleanser? SkinCeuticals offers a wide array of cleansers for you to pick from! The ones you see above are only a few of their most popular cleansers.

For cleansers, the best cleanser for you really depends on your skin type and the rest of your skincare routine. If you have dry or sensitive skin, we would recommend one of the gentler and more hydrating cleansers:

  • Soothing Cleanser: The Soothing Cleanser is SkinCeuticals’ most gentle cleanser. It is paraben-, sulfate-, soap-, synthetic-fragrance-, dye-, and alcohol

  • Gentle Cleanser: If you’re looking for a cream cleanser instead of a foam, the Gentle Cleanser is a great alternative for dry and sensitive skin. It moisturizes and softens the skin with allantoin, glycerin, and orange oil, while still being effective enough to remove long-wear face and eye makeup

However, if you have oily or acne-prone skin, we would recommend:

  • Simply Clean: The Simply Clean cleanser is a fantastic option for oily or acne-prone skin with its amino acid surfactant system and incredibly gentle exfoliants. The surfactant system allows it to remove even waterproof makeup and leave skin prepped for the rest of your daily skincare regimen.

  • Purifying Cleanser: The Purifying Cleanser is a great cleanser for acne and anti-aging because it has glycolic acid. Glycolic acid is one of the gentlest AHAs, and it gently exfoliates away the outer layer of your skin to reveal fresh and clear skin below. However, since it does have an AHA, we don’t recommend using it alongside retin-A products like tretinoin or adapalene. And we also recommend trying it just a few times a week first before using it every day.

  • LHA Cleanser: If you want to go another step up from the Purifying Cleanser, check out the LHA Cleanser. In addition to glycolic acid, the LHA cleanser also includes lipo-hydroxy acid and salicylic acid to further exfoliate the skin. This cleanser can work wonders for acne and clogged pores, but make sure to moisturize well afterwards and apply sunscreen!

Can’t decide if your skin is dry or oily? SkinCeuticals has the perfect thing for combination skin:

  • Replenishing Cleanser: The Replenishing Cleanser is designed specifically for combination skin. It cleanses deeply, but also includes ceramides to protect the drier, more delicate skin.

We carry all of these products in our office. Feel free to drop by any time to talk to one of our receptionists or medical assistants about our line of products!
