Friday, January 5th was a momentous occasion for Dermatology Arts for two reasons:
1) We kicked off the opening of our new Ellensburg location by seeing 12 patients, who didn't have to make the 45-minute drive to Yakima! We are grateful to Kittitas Valley Healthcare (KVH) for hosting us in their general surgery clinic that happened to be available for our use on Fridays. We are currently scheduled to see dermatology patients the first Friday of each month from 8am-3pm. We hope to add other clinic days as we are able and as the demand increases.
2) We welcomed back Julia Riel, the first of our employees to return to us after leaving to pursue further education as a Physician Assistant! Julia started with Dermatology Arts back in 2012 helping out her summer breaks and later worked as a Medical Assistant. After graduating with a degree in Biology from the University of Washington in 2014, Julia moved to California where she attended Western University of Health Sciences. Earning her Master of Science in 2017, Julia is now a certified Physician Assistant. She is working full-time seeing patients in the KVH family practice clinic, and is helping by seeing some of our dermatology patients part-time, under Dr. Master's supervision when we are seeing patients in Ellensburg.
